I just finished Session #2 of Real Estate Internet Marketing Success called The Fundamentals of your Web Container. A Fundamental Real Estate Idea

The Real Estate Industry invites sometimes those who have worked in the corporate world who desire to become more independent, and in control of their time and business decisions. The Real Estate Business is a fabulous place to have that autonomy, but very few adapt to it. The Business World is used to working Mondays to Fridays, from 9am to 5pm – a very hard habit to break is you desire to enter the Real Estate Business.

There is a simple idea that many who are new to the Real Estate Business do not understand:

We work when others Rest!

Yes it sounds like a simple idea but it isn’t.

So let me ask the Pros?

Do Real Estate Agents work on Easter? Yes

Do Real Estate Agents work on Sundays? Yes

Do Real Estate Agents work on the 4th of July? Yes

Do Real Estate Agents work on Saturdays? Yes

Do Real Estate Agents work during Summer Vacation? Yes

Do Real Estate Agents during the Super Bowl? Yes

We work when others Rest!

Why?

Simply because the best time the public has to plan their need to move, find a new home, and view properties with their family is while they are not at work.

If a Vendor says I endorse their product they are manipulating you for sales

Hi, this is Key again and I want to be very clear – “I do not endorse any vendor, and those who say I do are lying; and shame on them!”

Real Estate Web Strategy, as I define it, transcends Website or Lead Management Vendors. As such it must be understood that I view Internet Marketing Not as the total sum of what a Vendor offers you, but rather as the amount of work layered on top of the tools you currently have with them.

Do I think that some vendors do a better job than others? – of course; but do I endorse any – Categorically No!

So please know, on the record, that I do not, will not, or desire to be a pseudo salesman for a Website Vendor out there – if they tell you that Key says this it the product you should use then call me and I will set you and them straight… (910) 538-6610. I do not make money from vendors, I will not endorse products, and I think that competition in Web Services benefits the whole Real Estate Industry.

I love that many vendors have embraced some of the Internet Marketing Ideas I think are important to the Real Estate Industry, but that does not mean they get a pass… More works has yet to be done!

A few things you do not know about Key Yessaad

My name is Key Yessaad, and I am an Internet Strategist focused on the Real Estate Industry. I am Not everyone’s cup of tea and will never be so – I rattle vendors, brokers, agents, but most of all Charlatans. The Real Estate Industry does attract a fair share of such deceivers, and they do tarnish this wonderful business – yet I am in it because there are hundreds of wonderful Real Estate Practitioners; they are the ones I am committed to!

Here are a few things most people don’t know about me.

1. I actually write code from scratch; I do not just adapt websites…

2. I build websites from the bottom up but never discuss it because it is not my job… So please don’t call me to build you a website. I coach Real Estate Agents and Brokers on their Vision – Not to buy what I build.

3. I never train Real Estate Agents to write Code because that’s is Not their Job – their job is to become the best Internet Marketer for their clients independent of any HTML Code Knowledge.

4. I go out of my way not criticize websites – but I want you to know that 98% of Real Estate Websites are Glorified Business Cards.

5. I used to teach The Mathematics of Programming to Programmers and Web Architecture – a topic I never discuss because my students are Realtors NOT Programmers; and yes at the University Level!

6. I have 2 Masters Degrees in Mathematics focused on Differential Equations and Topology – and left Academia a year away from my Doctorate. Many flipped out when I did so at the age of 26 – I did not! My passion is Poetry!

7. That None of the above matters unless you turn over Webs Services within the hand of marketers – Not the hand of Programmers.

8. I admit to being a workaholic – yet I work for myself; there is no chance this will change soon, so if you are my friend please accept it.

9. The most important thing you need to know about me is that I am driven by Vision and Results – Not Financial Rewards. I think I need to have my head examined soon but it is easier to make money in Real Estate by deceiving agents than taking of them.

10. And Yes, I am aware that I have a French/Berber Accent and there is nothing I can do about it.

Session 1 – The Principles of Internet Marketing and SEO

This coming Friday, the 13th of January, is Session number 1 of 4 in my new seminar called Real Estate Web Strategy Success. The training was designed for the Real Estate Training Institute led by Kevin Ahearn. Yes, Yes,… Vendors call them Websites – I prefer the word ‘container’ because it alludes to holding your Marketing information and making it available to your customers. What’s the challenge? If your container is not visible to Google and Search Engines then what you have is purely a Glorified Business Card. You must learn not only what your Website must have to grow organically, but more importantly the habits you must develop Online to grow you influence and generate leads.

3. Hyperlinks, Landing Pages, and Internet Presence:
The Core activities of Internet Marketing is storytelling; when you blog, share videos, upload listings, you are building a narrative on the internet, and the verbs that you must master are Links, or more precisely hyperlinks. But the best Links are called Strategic Links because they connect to properly created Landing Pages within your website and are sticky.
