Ideas of the Day as of May 12th 2012 written and compiled by Key Yessaad

The crux of the series ‘Ideas of the Day’ from April 28th to May 12th centered around ideas of clarity, intention, and creativity. The work that Real Estate Professionals must succeed at is Marketing in all of its forms, and that process requires the release of ‘Creativity’ from the doldrums of day to day work. Unfortunately many such professionals use their mind as a storage container for tasks ‘not done,’ and end up blocking the spaces of creative expressions.

Here are some of the Ideas of the day as May 12th, 2012

posted May 12th, 2012

“Google’s Update to their Search and Ranking Algorithm, named Penguin, targets ‘Over-Optimizers’ – those who build websites stuffed with keywords and blog for keyword ranking only rather than helping their clients connect with them organically. Your Website is simply driven by your motivation – are you building a website to serve your clients or designing one to get on page 1 to generate leads? You have got to find a way to merge these two ideas Organically!”

“Writing is a skill that is developed over time; to become a great Marketer the most important skill is Writing – unfortunately there is no shortcut to becoming a great writer; Writers will tell you that it is in the process of writing regularly that the skill becomes sharpened, and meaningful.”

posted May 10th, 2012

“The idea that SEO, Internet Marketing, and Website Strategies are concept that belong to the Geeks is false, and allows for our Real Estate Agents to be taken advantage of by fraudsters. We have to engage our Real Estate industry and make these ideas mainstream by offering better education, and by empowering managers and owners to do their due diligence on what vendors they hire for such SEO and Website Services.”

posted May 9th, 2012

“Keeping all of your Emails seems like the most logical thing to do; and you ought to organize and keep a number of them; unfortunately this type of ‘Email Hoarding’ is clogging your workflow. You must entertain the idea that this is becoming a bad habit, and causing you some undue stress. Good email strategists embrace the ‘Delete Key’ and trigger it daily. Deleting emails is a MUST – embrace the ‘Delete Key’ or the Universe will delete all of your email container; it is up to you!”

posted May 8th, 2012

“There is an insidious idea that may seem so simple on the surface very few act on it: In order for you to start thinking creatively about the things that matter the most to you, You must stop thinking about the ideas that roam your brain because they have not been completed. Incompletions demand a lot of energy of your mind, but worse, they clog the spaces for energetic creative thinking. Write down your incompletions and either act on them or deliberately let them go!”

posted May 7th, 2012

“All of us in Business will experience a slump in Sales, in Productivity, and even in our Passion for work; Quitting is Not always the most appropriate response. Know that challenges will happen when you are an Entrepreneur, and when they do: Do Not Freak Out; Do Not Get Angry; Do Not get down on yourself; and most of all Don’t you dare Quit!”

posted May 6th, 2012

“Success is not a Zero Sum Game… my Success does not require your Failure; nor does your Success need to lead to my Failure. Abundance in Business is not always acknowledged but it is present and ought to be nurtured!”

posted May 5th, 2012

“The Modern Real Estate Office must offer a friendly professional environment both for agents and their customers; but one element you MUST not skimp on is your internet speed. Broadband is the lifeblood of all your agents’ activities – make sure you test the speed of your location by visiting http://www.speakeasy.net/speedtest/; focus especially on your upload speed. Make sure you go beyond the standard 0.5Mbps and push beyond 2Mbps if possible.”

~~~
posted May 4th, 2012
“How expensive is Free? it can at times be more expensive to be given a free service than to actually buy it. Say a mortgage company decides to offer you a free website in exchange for say Marketing Exposure; it may sound like a good deal but then when you realize that the work you do in your website is more important than the monthly fee of owning the website – you have become beholden to any change in terms that the provider determines is in their best interest. Free is rarely Free.”
~~~

posted May 3rd, 2012

“The best asset of a Real Estate Professional is their mind and how it is used… Is your mind overflowing with lots of shoulds, woulds, coulds, ought-tos, and need-tos? These are the loose enemies of your productivity – they stop you in your creative tracks. Grab these shoulds as they float your mind and commit them to action and/or make peace with them. Your mind and your clients don’t have time for your nagging shoulds, they need your creative solutions!”

~~~
posted May 2nd, 2012
“It is always fun to learn new ideas, especially when it comes to computers and technology… yet the results will only flourish once you commit to the implementation of these new ideas. Consider Blogging, many do not succeed Not because they do not know how to write or how to add hyperlinks – they tend to be unsuccessful because they fail to pick it up in the first place – the old adage that ‘Writers write’ naturally translates to ‘Bloggers blog’.”
posted May 1st, 2012
“Edison wrote that Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work. Your Day to Day ‘Work’ Activities are sometime mundane and routine, and some think that little comes from such actions – yet those who understand the large picture of Success will tell you that when you pile up your routine boring work methodically you open up the door to Opportunity; Let her in – she is knocking!”
“I am presenting today to The Carolinas Council of Affordable Housing at their Annual Business Meeting in Myrtle Beach. I will ask the participants to look at their Web Presence anew, as well as nudge them to consider whether their websites are driven to educate their clients or to transact ecommerce. Creating influential websites is at the heart of Social Media, Blogs, Videos, and Internet Marketing – Selling follows purely as a result!”
posted April 29th, 2012
“Failure is truly misunderstood by many… Studying failure can be, at times, more revealing than studying Success… if you learn to track not just successes but your failures and challenges, a pattern will emerge and your unique style of building a more successful business will emerge!”
Real Estate Web Strategies Advanced
A New Real Estate Training Series designed by Key Yessaad for The Real Estate Training Institute, Inc.
Real Estate Web Strategies Advanced was designed for Real Estate Agents and Brokers who understand the proper tools of their Web Containers (Websites), and now have embarked on a journey to rank for their primary keywords. SEO, or Search Engine Optimization, is driven by two (2) fundamental ideas: Your Website (Content) and the links that come to you (Backlinks). Of course there are other criteria that play a big role such as Anchor texts, Landing Pages, Blog Tags, Social Media Channels, and Stickiness – but the core must always be about taking care of the Sellers and Buyers in your Local Area.
Consumers have voted that if they pick the Right Real Estate Professional they feel taken care of; but many of our Real Estate Agents fail to convey that ‘care’ using their Website. Educating your Local Community about the local trends, the Real Estate Deals, and How-Tos of Financing, using your website with Short Clip Videos and SEO is becoming job 1.
New Series designed by Key Yessaad on Advanced SEO Real Estate Techniques
The essence of the 4-Sessions 8-Week Course is that you now have a Real Estate Website, it has a built-in IDX feed, Lead Management and tracking, and the ability to blog and enhance listings. How do you go about adding content to help you grow your visibility? These four (4) *New* sessions were designed by Key Yessaad for Kevin Ahearn, and the Live interactive Real Estate Institute; these sessions are considered advanced; in the sense that those who desire to participate comprehend Internet Marketing, the value of having a Website, and how to use their Internet Strategies to become true Internet Marketers.
System: Live/Interactive Training System
Dates:
Friday, May 11th 11:00AM EST
Wednesday, May 23rd 2:00PM EST
Friday, June  8th 11:00AM EST
Friday, June 22nd 11:00AM EST
Here is a short description for each of the sessions. +(Video)
Session 1: Am I Truly Web Connected? – You now have a website and it is Real Estate Driven — does my website have all the tools it needs to grow organically? How can I make sure my criteria are set properly? What are the SEO Tools that Webmasters use to study their Web influence? Have I turned on all the widgets within my website to get Search engine to rank me? How can I study the influence of my competitors and what can I do to start competing with them? How about Google Analytics — will it help me leverage the power of my website?
Session 2: Carving your Market for Visibility – You have by now learned what proper Real Estate Website to get and the elements it must contain in order for you to have a proper Internet Presence. You have also heard about Landing pages and the power they have to generate leads; the question becomes: How do you go about putting all of these ideas together in your website? What is the architecture you should adopt by ‘carving’ the market in a proper way to offer a meaningful Web Solutions to your Clients and to Search Engines? and by the way, what does it mean to Carve a Market on the Internet?
Session 3: Blogging Internally to Grow your Visibility – You have learned that blogging is powerful and is the most effective tool to driving traffic. But what are the best blog topics? How do Real Estate Agents leverage their titles and content to be visible to Search Engines? and what are Tags and does Google care about them? Blogging is Storytelling; and the stories you share will help Google and Search Engines rank you for the Keywords you want — learn to serve the right SEO to the right entities to grow your internet influence.
Session 4: Blogging Externally to Grow your Backlinks – Advanced Posting Strategies – I have learned to blog internally — why should I bother to blog externally? What are the benefits of opening secondary channels of visibility for my blogs? I have heard of RSS feeds — shouldn’t I just syndicated my blogs and I done for. Blogging locally versus externally are important ideas that agents must understand and embrace — your visibility is driven not just what you do locally, but with what you do externally. Finally; what is the Blog Rolling Idea?
Ideas of the Day shared by Key Yessaad as of April 27th 2012
On a daily basis I share ideas, business thoughts, and focused Real Estate Success Tips on my website and Social Media. Those who have had the privilege to thrive in Real Estate will tell you that Success in Real Estate is a mental endeavor – it is not just the knowledge or the license that you carry that matters; it is the understanding that you have to get into the psychology of your Sellers and Buyers, but also your own as a Real Estate Professional.
These are the seven ideas as of April 27th 2012:
  • posted April 27th, 2012
“Ponder these questions for a few minutes and ‘Procrastination’ will become your distant pariah: What projects or actions have you chosen to ignore because you are either too ‘busy’ or those actions do not seem as important right now? What Business Opportunities would open up if some of these actions had been checked and put behind you? How would you feel about these projects and actions having been completed rather than slowly buzzing in your mind?”
  • posted April 26th, 2012
“Your business growth is driven by Preparation not just Reaction; the nature of every endeavor requires that we confront unexpected events but it is your Preparations for your Tomorrows that will make your Reactions smoother than most… Give yourself time to prepare and your Talent will Shine!”
  • Posted April 25th, 2012
“Passive Real Estate Websites destroy your Marketing and very few agents understand this. When you buy a website from a vendor you are essentially buying a clone; same idx; same generic, content, same generic tools… it is the work you perform in your website that will distinguish you from others, as well as start to rank you with Search Engines.”
  • posted April 24th, 2012
“Success is not always linear, ‘you do this then you get that;’ Success sometimes will appear from unexpected directions at unexpected times, for those who are diligently pursuing their dreams and working with vision.”
  • posted April 23rd, 2012
“Every business action is easy, or can be broken down into easy steps. Difficulty rears its ugly head when we choose to postpone the ‘easy’ now and let it fester into becoming the ‘difficult’ later. Lead Management and Bookkeeping are easy processes in your Real Estate Business if handled regularly (daily and weekly); if ignored and months pass these tasks become difficult, overwhelming, and costly. Are you postponing today’s ‘easy’ tasks?”
  • posted April 22nd, 2012
“Every Step you take towards business success will bring at times challenges and difficulties that you have not envisioned; remember that your business is not the money you collect at the end of a deal; it is the way you react to the challenges you encounter. This process is supposed to make you stronger, more resilient, and savvier at negotiating your way towards lots of successes.”
  • Posted April 21st, 2012
“The power of Internet Marketing is in transcending the mere act of working with Buyers’ Leads, and in leveraging the power of your website, SEO, and blogs to generate more Listings and Sales. A Successful Internet Marketer creates influence and builds a sustained following… That’s who you are!”
This Friday we come to Session 4 of 4 in our series Real Estate Web Strategy Success. In this 2 1/2 hour session we will focus on the concept of Blogging Strategically not just for its SEO Benefits and Google Visibility, but to truly serve our clients as they visit our websites.
This Friday we come to Session 4 of 4 in our series Real Estate Web Strategy Success. In this 2 1/2 hour session we will focus on the concept of Blogging Strategically not just for its SEO Benefits and Google Visibility, but to truly serve our clients as they visit our websites. Those who manipulate Social Media, Blogs, and Websites for ranking purposes end up with hollow Strategy – in our quest we seek to give our Real Estate Buyers and Sellers meaningful information layered with blogs that have the right links and the right solutions.
The power of Internet Marketing lives in your commitment to translate Internet traffic into conversations; you are in the business of talking to your clients, and with the advent of the Internet you must translate that commitment to human contact. Furthermore you must become an Internet Prospector – Not just an agent focused on Leads!
This coming Friday (April 20th) Session 4, occurring on the Live Interactive System of Kevin Ahearn’s FAStTRAC, and part of the Series Real Estate Web Strategy Success we will focus on “I now have a Web container, and understand Internet Marketing, how do I now feed the beast of the Internet?” in other words: How do I feed Google the proper content in order for it to notice me and rank me higher than my competition?
Here are the Main Topics I will focus on Session 4:
What are Blogs and why are they important?
How to use Blogs to drive Visibility and Traffic?
What are the Best Topics for Blogs and how to link them?
What are the Elements of a Successful Blog Posting?
How do I use Blogs in my Social Media? and Why?
What are the habits of an Internet Marketer?
What is Internet Prospecting and how can I use it?
What are the Elements of a Fundamental SEO Strategy?
Blogging, Social Media, Internet Traffic, and your SEO Essentials
Here is the detail Description of Session 4:
Blogging, Social Media, Internet Traffic, and your SEO Essentials:
Prospecting is job One for a successful career in Real Estate – Do you know how to “Internet Prospect?” A successful SEO Strategy requires a combination of ingredients; a Web Container, Blogging, Keywords, Hyperlinks, Strategic landing Pages, and a Plan of Action in which you tell regular stories and place them on the Internet to drive traffic back to your website. This is not a difficult skill, it just requires you to switch your habits a bit and focus them in the right actions for the right results.
Included as well is the whole course description: (http://wp.me/pmEnK-wt)
Course Title: Real Estate Web Strategy Success
Internet Marketing, Web Strategies, Google Presence, and how to use your website to generate leads organically. The core of Search Engine Optimization (SEO), or Organic Placement, are now the bedrock of your growing Marketing Success Story. This course was designed to be practical, solutions-driven, and full of practical Homework. This is not about theory – this is about meeting your clients online and being able to generate your own leads organically – and the best ones are Listing Leads. Do you have a proper Internet Presence?
A 10-hour Course in 4 sessions (Each session is 2 1/2 hours long with time for your questions and discussions.)
1. The Principles of Internet Marketing and SEO:
And ‘No,’ Marketing on The Internet is not ‘Internet Marketing!’ Real Estate Agents advertise to drive customers to them, and many still do – but it is getting harder. What is it that you must master in “Search Marketing” so you continue to be the one Sellers and Buyers love to work with. You must go beyond understanding the psychology of your customers – you must also become familiar with the thinking of Search Engines and Ranking. It is this lack of deep understanding of the internet that makes Agents and brokers go on a buying spree of tools with very little results to show for it.
2. The Fundamentals of your Web Container:
Yes, Yes,… Vendors call them Websites – I prefer the word ‘container’ because it alludes to holding your Marketing information and making it available to your customers. What’s the challenge? If your container is not visible to Google and Search Engines then what you have is purely a Glorified Business Card. You must learn not only what your Website must have to grow organically, but more importantly the habits you must develop Online to grow you influence and generate leads.
3. Hyperlinks, Landing Pages, and Internet Presence:
The Core activities of Internet Marketing is storytelling; when you blog, share videos, upload listings, you are building a narrative on the internet, and the verbs that you must master are Links, or more precisely hyperlinks. But the best Links are called Strategic Links because they connect to properly created Landing Pages within your website and are sticky. Sticky Websites generate leads – you must learn how to create each one of these elements because you are the Real Estate Marketer, and believe or not – they are easy to make…
4. Blogging, Social Media, Internet Traffic, and your SEO Essentials:
Prospecting is job One for a successful career in Real Estate – Do you know how to “Internet Prospect?” A successful SEO Strategy requires a combination of ingredients; a Web Container, Blogging, Keywords, Hyperlinks, Strategic landing Pages, and a Plan of Action in which you tell regular stories and place them on the Internet to drive traffic back to your website. The session is tilted is ‘Hyperlinks, Landing Pages, and Internet Presence’ and will focus on the Verbs of the Internet. If the internet had a natural language its verbs would be Hyperlinks, commonly called Links; and just as verbs form the action of your natural language; hyperlinks are where all the action happens on Web pages, Blogs, and Search Engines. Did you know that Job One of a Search Engine (say Google) is to look at the source code of your Web Pages and extract the Hyperlinks (<a href=”_”>) within it?
Here is a quick Video that gives you a quick description of the topics I will cover this coming Friday:
In order for you to master Real Estate Internet Marketing and SEO Visibility you must understand Hyperlinks; but how to you leverage such links in your Real Estate Websites and connect them to your Landing Pages?
How to create Hyperlinks?
What are Landing Pages in Real Estate and How do you create them?
How to you use Hyperlinks in your Blogs with Landing Pages?
The Ingredients of a Proper Real Estate Website – Session 2
Today is Session Two (2) of the 4-Part Series Real Estate Web Strategy Success. The title of today’s session is “The Fundamentals of your Web Container and their SEO Consequences” – we are going to focus on the most important ingredients that your Real Estate Websites must have in order for it to be useful to your customers, as well as visible and index-able by Search Engines.
You may have noticed I used the term Container in the title; I did that deliberately – the term container conveys that your website is a holding place of content and tools, and that it is up to you to make sure you are adding content and tools to connect with your would-be customers. It is unfortunate that 90%+ of Real Estate Websites are passive; meaning that an agent buys a solution, turns it on, and then waits for something to happen – these websites are simply Glorified Business Cards. We have got to do better than that!
Here are the main topics I will focus on:
What are the ingredients of Real Estate Websites?
How is IDX best integrated in your Website?
Framing Data vs Not Framing? How about iFraming?
What are the tools of Lead Capture and delayed registration?
How does one integrate Keywords strategically?
Listing Enhancement Tools and Seller Visibility.
What are some examples of visible websites?
The Web Grinder and Homework.
Here is the course description for Session 2:
The Fundamentals of your Web Container: Yes, Yes,… Vendors call them Websites – I prefer the word ‘container’ because it alludes to holding your Marketing information and making it available to your customers. What’s the challenge? If your container is not visible to Google and Search Engines then what you have is purely a Glorified Business Card. From Nanosticks to Cobol to Computer Science – Admiral Hopper is cool!
Admiral Grace Hopper (1906 – 1992) on the David Letterman Show, October 2nd 1986 giving him, a Nanostick; A Nanostick is a visual representation of the farthest distance light or electricity will travel in one Nanosecond. One Nanosecond is a billionth of a second – or a second cut up into a billion pieces. The length of a nanostick is nearly 1 foot.
You have got to watch this interview – this blog is especially chosen for my friend George Styron.
The wit and charm of Admiral Grace Hopper hides her deep knowledge of Computer Science; Grace wrote one of the first languages of Computer Science (Cobol) and in essence transformed the field. The quote below reveals that she saw beyond the vision of those of her time:
“I had a running compiler and nobody would touch it. … they carefully told me, computers could only do arithmetic; they could not do programs.”
